Given the situation with COVID-19, Campus library Diepenbeek remains closed. In order to be able to help you as much as possible, we, therefore, start with a Grab & Go service on Monday, April 20.
What does this mean?
With the Grab & Go service, you can reserve books that you can collect safely and at an agreed time from the library desk at Campus library Diepenbeek. How do you proceed?
- Search the library catalogue at home via the UHasselt library website. Write down the exact and complete title of the book you wish to lend. Also check whether the book is available (click on the “shelfmark”, the code similar to 72 BEVH 2011, and the availability will be visible).
- As a student, you can borrow a maximum of 4 books at a time. However, you can hand in your current books to lend new books. Long-loan rules will continue to apply to staff members.
- Send the requested title(s) by email to philip.speelmans@uhasselt.be. To be on the safe side, please also state your mobile phone number: in the event of a lack of clarity or if a book is found to be missing, we will contact you by telephone.
- You can pick up the book(s) on Tuesday and Friday afternoon between 2 and 4 PM. Your request must arrive no later than midnight on Monday or Thursday evening. The books are ready for you in a personalized package at the library desk. Only one person is admitted to the library at the same time, so you can wait outside the library if necessary and respect social distancing there.
We also want to refer to our extensive digital book and journal collection. If you have any questions about the use of these resources, you can always send them to pieter.lernout@uhasselt.be or philip.speelmans@uhasselt.be. We are happy to assist you.
