Code of conduct

In the reading room you must avoid all activities that may disturb other readers or the good practise of the library. Other activities than those necessary for study and research, are not allowed.

  • there will be no talking out loud or on the phone;
  • the Law Library is a non-smoking area;
  • eating and drinking is not allowed;
  • bags, coats, etc. must be stored in the designated lockers.

Documents that you have consulted must be placed in the 'rack for consulted items'. The library staff will then put the material back in the library.

Due to limited seating, the library gives priority to research work. For studying only we would like to refer students to the self-study rooms at the Former Prison (campus Hasselt) and the Library Hasselt Limburg.
