IBFD – Tax Research Platform

At the start of their first academic year law faculty students will receive a visitors card for the Maastricht University Library as well as an UM-account to get access to their electronic sources, even from home. The UM-card and the UM-account remain valid as long as these students are connected to Hasselt University.
More information about the UM-card can be found on https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/nl/file/3484/download?token=QMtrRyRl (pdf). In case of problems with your UM-account, it is best to contact the ICTS-servicedesk of Maastricht University (Servicedesk-ICTS@maastrichtuniversity.nl or 0031 (0)43 388 5555). In order to reset your UM-account, you will need to add a copy of your identity card.

ILDC – International Law in Domestic Courts

ILDC is an online law reporting service focusing on the way courts from countries around the world deal with matters of international law. ILDC is part of Oxford Reports on International Law. The UM has free access to the Oxford Reports on International Courts of General Jurisdiction module, which includes cases from the International Court of Justice and Permanent Court of International Justice. Via the Oxford Law Citator, each case report links users to important information about all decisions, instruments, and secondary literature that mention the case in question and that are mentioned by it.

The International Monetary Fund's (IMF) eLibrary simplifies analysis and research with direct access to the IMF’s periodicals, books, working papers and studies, and data and statistical tools. You will find information and perspective on macroeconomics, globalization, development, trade and aid, technical assistance, demographics, emerging markets, policy advice, poverty reduction, and so much more.

INIS database

INIS, the International Nuclear Information System, is the world´s leading information system on the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology. INIS is operated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and contains not only bibliographic references but also a large collection of full text documents. There are central areas to the scope such as nuclear reactors, reactor safety, nuclear fusion, applications of radiation and radioisotopes in medicine, agriculture, industry and pest control as well as related fields such as nuclear chemistry, nuclear physics and materials science. Special emphasis is placed on the environmental, economic and health effects of nuclear energy. Legal and social aspects associated with nuclear energy are also covered. And, from 1992, the economic and environmental aspects of all non-nuclear energy sources are included in the scope.
