International legal sources via Maastricht University

As a student of the Faculty of Law of UHasselt, you are also a student of Maastricht University. Therefore, you have access to their electronic sources, also off-campus. More information on the joint programme can be found here.

You will receive your UM student number + password, to consult the e-sources to which Maastricht University subscribes, by e-mail at the beginning of the (first) academic year. The UM login data will remain valid as long as you are affiliated with Hasselt University. In case of problems with your UM log-in data: contact Servicedesk-ICTS@maastrichtuniversity.nl or 0031(0)43 388 5555.

If you want physical access to Maastricht University's library, you can request a UM library card at umcard@maastrichtuniversity.nl, accompanied by your date of birth and a passport photo. Tip: you can always find a passport photo in your UHasselt student file - via My E-id. On this web page of the "Justizportal des Bundes und der Länder" website, you will find the full text of court decisions of the federal courts and some state administrations of justice. Some are fee-based.

Rechtsprechung im Internet

On the "Rechtsprechung im Internet" website of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and the Federal Office of Justice, you will find selected decisions of the Federal Constitutional Court, the highest federal courts and the Federal Patent Court in Germany as of 2010. The decisions are anonymized and are generally published in full. The database is updated daily.
