International legal sources via Maastricht University

As a student of the Faculty of Law of UHasselt, you are also a student of Maastricht University. Therefore, you have access to their electronic sources, also off-campus. More information on the joint programme can be found here.

You will receive your UM student number + password, to consult the e-sources to which Maastricht University subscribes, by e-mail at the beginning of the (first) academic year. The UM login data will remain valid as long as you are affiliated with Hasselt University. In case of problems with your UM log-in data: contact Servicedesk-ICTS@maastrichtuniversity.nl or 0031(0)43 388 5555.

If you want physical access to Maastricht University's library, you can request a UM library card at umcard@maastrichtuniversity.nl, accompanied by your date of birth and a passport photo. Tip: you can always find a passport photo in your UHasselt student file - via My E-id. Kluwer Navigator

Kluwer Navigator – only in Dutch – is a portal for legal journals, Dutch legislation, Dutch case law and companions to law.
To log in on Kluwer Navigator: click on ‘Login voor WO/HBO’ and then choose Maastricht University.

At the start of their first academic year law faculty students will receive a visitors card for the Maastricht University Library as well as an UM-account to get access to their electronic sources, even from home. This was set up in the context of training courses that are jointly organized. The UM-card and the UM-account remain valid as long as these students are connected to Hasselt University.
More information about the UM-card can be found on https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/nl/file/3484/download?token=QMtrRyRl (pdf). In case of problems with your UM-account, it is best to contact the ICTS-servicedesk of Maastricht University (Servicedesk-ICTS@maastrichtuniversity.nl or 0031 (0)43 388 5555). In order to reset your UM-account, you will need to add a copy of your identity card.
