Jura is a legal database (from Kluwer) with references and full texts of legislation, jurisprudence, doctrine, models and news about legislation.
On-campus you have unlimited access to Jura. Staff members also have off-campus access via VPN.
Temporarily, students also have off-campus access to the database via EZproxy.
Jurisquare is a database which contains law journals and law books of different publishers (Anthemis, Bruylant, Die Keure, Intersentia, Larcier, INNI, etc.). It allows you to consult the journals and books by both keyword search and full-text search.
Click on Library - My library to get an overview of the subscriptions and holdings of Hasselt University (cf. more than 1350 e-books and about 50 e-journals).
On campus you have unlimited access to Jurisquare: you can consult, print and save journal articles; books can only be consulted. Member of staff also have off-campus access through VPN. Legidex is a database and navigation tool that uses powerful artificial intelligence to gain access to the content of Belgian and European legislation and jurisprudence. This is done in a very simple and intuitive way.
Since March 16, 2022, it has been possible for UHasselt students and academics to create a personal Legidex account via www.legidex.com/uhasselt. This personal account offers, among others, off-campus access.
The “blue codes of die Keure” form the basis of this database. On Omnilegie, you will find updated legal texts with numerous annotations.
Rechtgenoot.be, an initiative of the Faculty of Law KU Leuven, gives for each branch of law a concise overview of the main textbooks, monographs, periodicals, loose-leaf publications, CD-ROM’s and websites.
Rechtsaf lists all abbreviations used for legal journals, with a search facility.
Rechtstreeks.be is an open access archive of legal books and journals. You will find legal "classics" such as De Page, Dekkers, Fredericq, Kluyskens...But also Van Gerven, Derine, Ronse, Delva.... And even Cornelis, Stijns, Vansweevelt, Velaers... The legal journals are situated between 1945 and 2000 and sometimes a bit later, from the era when Jura, Stradalex and Jurisquare did not yet exist.
Strada lex is a legal database (from Larcier) with references and full texts of legislation, jurisprudence, doctrine, models and news about legislation. You have full-text access to more than 2.700 e-books and about 100 e-journals.
On-campus you have unlimited access to Strada lex. Staff members also have off-campus access through VPN.
